Some hours have pass since I was in the platform with the group of kids. Ralph, Simon, and I have just got back from the top of the mountain of the island. Yes, it’s an island. We got up there and we saw no houses and the place is completely surrounded by water. We are really trapped in a deserted island. When we got in the platform Ralph blew on the hideous conch that had given him the power. Next to him was his fat friend, Piggy. When the boys gathered around him he started talking. He told them that it is a deserted island and that there are pigs to hunt. I said that they will need me and my hunters to hunt pigs to have meat. Maybe if I had the army… hunters in my side I could later defeat Ralph.
Ralph kept talking about the importance of doing rules to keep the group in order. The rule that he did was that from now on you will have to have the conch to be able to talk in assemblies. Ralph is the only one that gets to break that rule. I was exited of the fact that there are going to be rules because like that we will have an excellent life in this island until they come and rescue us. Then a small boy started to cry. He mumbled something, so low that no one could listen. Ralph tried to make him talk but the boy will not talk. Piggy finally was able to get the boy to tell him what happened and then he will tell that to us in a higher voice. The boy said that there is a horrible beast. All of the other boys were quiet; they believed what he was saying. I know that beasts don’t exist, so I wasn’t scared. Ralph wasn’t able to get the kids back in order or feeling safe. What he said only mode it move evident that there may be a real danger in this place. Again I showed my superiority as a leader. I told the kids that if there is a beast- which I knew wasn’t true- me and my hunters will kill it.
After that all the kids traveled to the top of the mountain to start a fire. We are going to do smoke signals because if a boat passes by, they will notice that there are people in the island and will save us. All of the kids carried a load of wood and placed all of it together in a pile. Ralph attempted to carry an enormous trunk but wasn’t able to carry it. I helped him and together we were able to get the biggest chunk of wood in the pile. Maybe if we worked together we could be invincible, no, I am to be the leader and I could do all of this alone. After it was all ready we came with the question of: how are we going to turn on the fire? After some time I thought that we could use Piggy’s specs to turn on some of the dry leafs and then it will expand to the rest of the bonfire. Suddenly the fire went out of control and started to turn the mountain on fire. Some trees became red instead of green. It took some time for the fire to burn the objects before it went back to a controllable size. When the fire was perfect Piggy started to annoy me and the others about the importance of doing shelters. We are in a deserted island without any adult, we ought to have fun.
Later Piggy said that the boy that had said they there is a beast in the island had gone missing. I was scared of the fact that there could be a beast. The only one that had seen it disappeared in no time. Maybe a beast does live in this island. Maybe it will kill us all if we don’t kill it soon. There is still nothing to worry about because the boy probably died in the fire. There is not enough evidence for me to be really scared. I just hope that we are alone in this place.
