I just landed in a deserted island that I have never heard of. My parents sent me in a plane trip to a safe place. I don’t know where that safe place is, but I’m sure it is not here. Because of the World War II I had to be sent away of my house. Me, a group of friends from my choir, and a group of boys that I had never meet, were in a plane ride. Out plane ride was suddenly interrupted when a giant ball of flames covered a wing of the plane. The plane had been shot down.
I woke up in a big beach which I have never been before. Around me were other members of my choir- I was the head boy. They all looked at me for orders, I was still their leader. I was born a leader and it doesn’t surprise me that even in this situation they asked me to be their leader. After some time I heard a sound similar to the one of a trumpet from the choir, only that this one had a bass sound. I and my group went to the place where the sound came from and found a boy of about the same age as me. He had fair, black hair and in his hand had a deep cream shell. More boys that I have never met were around him and a small fat boy was asking their names and memorizing them.
We talked and tried to bring the pieces together to know what had happened. Apparently there are no adults and probably our parents and the people back home don’t know we are trapped in this unknown place. We are probably going to be stuck in this place and we will have to survive until someone comes and rescue us. We made a vote to decide who is going to be the leader of the group. I nominated myself to be the leader. I am the only one fit in all this group of kids to lead. I will make sure that everyone does his part and will make the settlement prosper. The kid that had the shell- which he calls conch-, Ralph, nominated himself to be the leader. I was sure that I will win the vote but something unexpected happened. The kids said that the one with the conch should be the leader. The members of my choir voted for me but they weren’t enough. Probably the only reason they choose that kid instead of me as a leader was because he had the conch and he was the one that had gathered us together. I am smarter, stronger, and better than Ralph in any way you see it. I know that sooner or later he will fail and all the boys will want me as a leader. Even if I have to make it happen.
Ralph, Simon, and I were descending from the top of the tallest mountain in the entire place. We carried important news for the rest of the kids in the group. As we walked down, we encountered a pig that was trapped in creepers. Prior to this I had said that I and my choir were going to be the hunters of the group. Ralph stared at me, waiting for me to show him that I’m a hunter. I retrieved my knife but I couldn’t kill the pig. I just couldn’t. The pig escaped and so did my honor. I promised to them and to myself that the next time I will kill a pig.
